Document Summary

We are separated from god by an in nite gap; inability to understand is just part of the nature of god (book of job, etc. ) Pascal"s wager: let"s just map out all the possible outcomes. A small negative bearing on your life at worst. A small positive bearing on your life at best. In nite lack of happiness and/or suffering: the best option by far is to believe, objections to pascal"s wager. Objection 2: can true belief be based on a wager : wagerers perhaps admissible: people who follow the law out of fear of punishment are just as innocent as people who follow it out of moral character. It"s not quite identical god is omniscient, after all, knows our intent . We should analyze this through scripture, perhaps: though forced to make the wager, an atheist still cannot believe!
