Document Summary

The super position of waves involves the addition of waves. Along the line midway between the slits in young"s double slit experiment is a line of: constructive interference, destructive interference, both. Electric charge: a property of matter that can result in the attraction or repulsion of objects. Neutral objects contain equal number of positive and negative charges. Electrons are loosely bounded and are transferred from one object to another. Force given between two charges given by coulomb"s law. Michael faraday envisioned that the electric force between charged objects is due to an electric field. The electric field is the entity responsible for mediating electric forces. Electric field has a magnitude and direction, can be represented using lines. Maxwell eqution: first equation identifies charges as the source of electric field (e field). The third equation states that a changing magnetic field generates an electric field. Fourth equation says two things, electric current produces an electric field.
