Document Summary
Breathing in high altitude level of o2 is the same on ground and sea level. Atmospheric at the top is much lower than what we have at sea level recall that the partial pressure of o2 in blood is about 100 mmhg. Acute breathing response in high altitude lowering pp of o2, triggers oxygen chemosensors to increase ventilation this washes out co2 from the bloodstream. Ph is increasing as it goes on despite the decline as shown on graph. Chronic hypoxia lower co2, which reaches the dotted lined curve which shows that the system is less responsive to o2. Chronic changes at high altitude increasei n ventilation, reaching maximaum after acclimatization. Muscle cells decrease due to hypoxia as well as loss of appetite. Shifting to the curve as binding more o2, moredifficult to separate. Brainstem neurons rhythmically cross section of brainstem close to middle-right side.
