Document Summary
Give examples of when our immune system helps us and when it does not e. g. blood typing and transfusion reactions. Recall: t cell receptors bind to antigens that are bound to mhc. Overall: you have an apc, which t cell binds to (cid:314) activation of the t cell. Located on dendritic cells, macrophages and b cells. Antigen taken into the cell(cid:314) broken into peptide (cid:314) put on the mhc2 (cid:314) put on the surface of the cell. Cytokines will stimulate helper t cells, cytotoxic t cells and b cells. Activation of the t cell (cid:314) cell division. Effector helper t cell (cid:314) release cytokines. They also activate cytotoxic t cell as well! Infected/cancerous cell or dendritic cell (cid:314) (dendritic is the 1st one to activate cytotoxic t, needed to fully activated, and later tc can recognize other infected cells) (cid:314) presented on class i mhc (cid:314) Located on all nucleated cells (not found on rbc)
