Document Summary
Why study psychology? understand function of people relationship with humans (how they think work make decisions) Problems of brain too much info (relationships, variables, patterns) and most is ignored [many things you can pick up on. > world seen as if it is labelled obviousness needs to be explained. Brain always search for importance and relevance but this is not part of the physical environment, it is a part of things. Information is often polluted we want (signal) and we don"t want (noise) Brain taking a chance because cannot be sure of importance. Perception of the world being filled with problems is a projection of the brain onto the world in order to solve problems. Science is about trying to get behind these projections and do the opposite of common sense, how the brain is actually doing what it"s doing.
