Historiography* - what we know about someone from historical documents. It doesn"t mean he didn"t exist, or that he hadn"t had a full life. It means its problem for us historians who want to have a certain amount of certitude when we talk about the events f his life. Were not disputing his life but more about how we document his life and how much documentary evidence we have. The more it is from that period, the more we are sure f what we have. He lived in an area, no government there. There weren"t anyone around who was curious to write about him. By the time the world got to know about him, he was passed away.
