Monotheistic: belief in god, only one true god. Time: measure time from the moment god created the universe, time is linear (beginning to some end/judgement day) History: sphere of god"s activity, oversees and directs humans, provides ethnic codes and blesses for good behaviour, punishes for bad: human history is a reflection of humans relationship with god (ex. Prophecy: god empowers certain humans, they warn humanity or deliver directions. Revelation: way god acts in the world, collected in scripture which has a centrality disasters) (sacred) Afterlife: belief is one life, no reincarnation. Purpose of human activity: enact gods will, follow the best path. Types of religious traditions: missionary- follow asset of beliefs, anyone can join, ethnic- contain a national element that often has a traceable lineage, beliefs aren"t central, identify with a certain land, many different belief systems. The sacred book is the hebrew bible (what i know as the old testament).
