Movement of passionate devotion, heavily mystically organized, concerned with things outside of this world, monotheistic" orientation, wander singing songs and writing poems about one god represented in many ways. Not an elite movement, egalitarian, open to anybody. Must love god, the intensity of ones love for god, inclusive. Composed to vernacular languages, the language of the people. Don"t know a lot about him, refused to identify beteem muslim and hindu. In his poetry, he used ideas and languages interchangeably to show that god is one, therefore, humanity should be one. The founder of sikhism, introspective, quiet, humble, reflective.
