Creativity and complexity are often inversely related to trust. Interpersonal conflict is a process that occurs when one person, group, or organizational subunit. When individuals or subunits are mutually dependent on each other to accomplish their own goals. Power: higher power, exert their power and authority, powerful means you can move things. Status: someone who has high status does not necessarily have high power. Interpersonal tensions among individuals that have to do with their relationship per se, not the task at hand. Disagreements about nature of work to be done. Winning the conflict becomes more important than a good solution. Parties conceal information from each other or distort it. Leads to five styles of dealing with conflict: avoiding (labour lockouts, accommodating, competing, compromising, collaborating. Compromise vs collaborating you give half effort and half result.
