A manager"s job is to combine human and other resources in the best way possible to achieve a company"s goals. Management principals apply to all kinds of irms including not-for-proits. All kinds of life have management (school, mayor, presidents etc. ) A irm"s management usually has three levels: top, middle and supervisory. A sales manager will decide on how many salespeople are needed: middle managers are more familiar will day-to-day operaions then ceo"s. Supervisory management: also known as irst-line management, supervisors, secion chiefs, team leaders etc, sign speciic jobs to non-managerial employees and asses their performance, work directly with the employees who produce or sell the goods, carry out middle-manager"s plans. Managers at every level use three types of skills: technical, human and conceptual. All managers must acquire these skills, but the importance of them changes at every level.
