Stigma surrounds enactment (discrimination) and felt stigma (internalization & shame) Example of stigma: viewed as already dead, burden on family, fear of infection, moral judgement, something only other people get, fear of being disabandoned, avoided being tested. It"s okay for them to have multiple partners. Sexual knowledge and experience is seen as bad. Expectation that women will be passive in sex.
