Solution: build companies in canada so they could avoid tariffs. Canada"s industrialization delayed due to colonial status and currency. Us investment in canada in many way jumpstarted our industrialization. Social and political transformations taking place under industrial capitalism in the 19th century and early 20th century was enormous.
