Feminist theories: there are many different kinds of feminist theories, 1st, 2nd, 3rd wave, some of the theories are in contradiction with each other, some are more developed than others, there is a chronology, some stand in opposition to one another or build on one another. Intersectional feminism: cant just talk about women as a singular group, every women represents the intersection of a combination of identities, ethnic, national, racial etc. combinations, each intersection makes each women unique, a critical response to earlier forms of feminism, goes against liberal and marxist feminism that assumed women were all white and middle class. Psychoanalytic feminism: notion that women have a particular psychological developmental process, different from women, something about it that uncovers the roots of patriarchy, not just about individual (cid:224) has a more political connotation (cid:224) roots of sexism and gender inequality that develop from individual psychological development of process.
