Social class is a word that seeped through and everyone is familiar with (used all the time) Recognition that we have a certain obligation for the welfare of others. Having a moral responsibility to look out for someone"s well-being. Those who may be in your universe of obligation are family you care a lot about the. I. e. the middle class, the working class classify and categorize individuals welfare of your family members. Not all families are that way however. Extended to people that individuals are in long term relationships with (i. e. those who we feel like their well-being is our business) Sometimes extended to our friends good friends would fall under universe of obligation. Not extended to those they are less intimately connected too. Young children and the elderly, we feel a need to help them out. This boundary is at the heart of understanding inequality.
