Observe from outside, figure out what causes what. Start with proposition and then test it and gather information. Select representative of group and earn their trust. Calculate to know if proposition is valid or not. Operationalization: test if hypothesis is valid or not. Income, education= abstract concept, we need to know measure those level of percept.
