Structure (organization, content: first: the entry (exactly the same in any bibliography, the documentation style differs (mla, apa, chicago, cbe, etc. ) In different fields, it could be different things: then: the annotation. Annotations can consist of many different things. Subject of the source (what the author is writing about) Thesis of the source (what the author is trying to prove) Never refer to first names or titles in a scholarly essay; only use last names. In other annotations, they may include many more different elements and be much longer. Subject, thesis, major arguments (how the author is supporting his/her thesis, strengths and weaknesses, relevance to your academic work. Determining scholarly sources: the topic for this annotated bibliography: anything to do with mass media.
