The way books are produced and the way books are preserved. Says a lot about our cultural values and our economic system. What is it saying about our values of education and access. Authors don"t just write booksl there is a series of processes that lead from and author"s ideas to the book in the reader"s hand. Books are physical and social objects; not just content.
