A philosopher, nick bostrom offers the argument that at least one proposition must be true (1. Essentially, if we affirm the eventual possibility of simulating consciousness, we probably are simulated. Descartes - page 199 - aside regarding god needing to be good in order to understand that what we perceive is reality. An ideal triangle is more real than any material triangle, back to plato"s discussion in timaeus regarding our world being less real than the forms because it is an imperfect reflection. Tegmark believes that math can explain the world so well because the physical world is an incarnation of mathematics itself.
