Vestibule only external part (the space where you would pick your nose) Root of nose is composed of the frontal, nasal and maxillary; ethmoid and vomer create the bony nasal septum. Functions: warms and moistens the air, houses olfactory receptors which bind to stimuli in air to give us smell. Hard palate is the bottom of nasal cavity; palentine and maxillary create hard palate.
