Found on posterior body wall move through neurovascular plane and exit near umbilicus. Splanchnic nerves coming off medial side of sympathetic chain. Thoracic to abdominal aorta once it passes through diaphragm. Abdominal ganglia are fed by splanchnic nerves from the thorax. Black box- can see rami communicates from sympathetic chain (sns: white- pre ganglionic, grey post ganglionic, grey and white head out to the peripheral ns post- ganglionic nerve fibers. Splanchnic n. pre-ganglionic (white) haven"t synapsed and are on their way to abdomen. Cross section of spinal cord: grey matter- forms h , lateral horns coming out of grey matter. Highway of nerves - can travel together but will go off in different directions with different purposes. Spider web plexus of nerves you can pull up from abdominal aorta autonomic ns. Greater splanchnic n. passes information to celiac ganglion: located at area of celiac trunk at abdominal aorta. Superior mesenteric ganglion right beside superior mesenteric.
