Document Summary

Innate system (non specific); within innate we have skin. Our skin is important in guarding against infection. In this lecture we talk about hummoral immunity and that"s basically the production of anti bodies by b cells. We also later talk about cellular immunity ie we are talking about t cells. T cells are cellular immunity because they directly kill antigens or self cells that are broken/ cancerous. Lymphatic system is an integral part of the immune system, it monitors body surfaces and fluids and responds to potentially harmful substances. Lymph vessels are a series of vessels throughout the body, carry lymph fluid. Cells, they are our effector; killing the antigen that has broken lines of defenses. Lymphatic tissue; battle ground where immune cells are degrading pathogens/antigens. We have the bone marrow and the thymus (educators), this is where immune cells learn to distinguish self vs non self. Are some of the other trucutres of the system.
