Describe the 9 muscles of the anterior compartment of the forearm. Which 3 do not cross the wrist joint: superficial (4): pronator teres, flex. Digitorum superficialis: deep (3): flexor digitorum produndus, flexor pollicis longus, pronator quad. Describe the nervous innervation (muscular and cutaneous) of the forearm. Flexion occurring at the wrist but also with movement with the digits. Radius and the ulna the bones: membranous sheets which run between the bone and to the deep fascia of the limb: divide the arm into the compartments. Note: this diagram will appear different (deep, superficial, etc. ) depending on where we take the cross section (muscles change size and shape that they move down the arm) In this cross-section we can see 7/9 of the muscles we are interested in.
