Parts of maxilla makes up the nasal cavity. Considered a key stone bone of the face: many bones are connected to it and its very prominent. Contains projections to articulate/connect w the other bones. Sends a process to articulate/connect w the zygomatic bone will end up making part of. Clinical consideration cleft palate (a) is cleft lip and it goes to the nasal cavity: oral cavity and nasal cavity are continuous, babies cant feed properly bc when they drink milk it goes to oral. Sella(cid:9) turcica: top left pic: superior view looking at cranial floor. Pituitary gland hangs from base of the brain and sits in fossa: on either side of sella turcica/pituitary gland have venous drainage (cavernous sinus)
