Glycosylation continues on in the golgi apparatus: different modifications that occur there, addition of a phosphate group for some proteins that are going to be transported. Proteins getting into the er = cotranslation translocation. Want to go from the rough er to the golgi apparatus: rough er golgi secretory vesicles for secreting proteins. Intermediary structure between the er and the plasma membrane: secreted proteins go to er, golgi and then the secretory vesicles secreted outside the cells. Glycosylation continues in golgi apparatus but different modifications occur there (addition of phosphate for certain proteins that are trafficked from golgi to other organelles - lysosome) When the protein is made in the er it is going to bud off through certain vesicles which will then fuse with the golgi apparatus. Proteins that want to be transported within the vesicles. Proteins can be secreted to sorted to endosomes and lysosomes.
