Figure: macronutrients are what you absorb from soil, need small quantities of each, but are still necessary, all obtained from soil, through roots, micronutrients, required in much smaller quantities, but still need minimum requirements in soil. How much is enough: depending on how much is available, effects a plant drastically, no concentration, no growth, lethal, need some of the nutrient to begin and continue growth, very depleted soil, some growth, but stunted, critical concentration.
