Image interpretation depends on three factors: the problem, the primary and secondary information within google earth and external information that may or may not be in ge format: the problem: Most analysis is in response to a problem . Ideally this is a specific question that is clear and tractable, allowing an efficient and appropriate response. More commonly, the problem is vague, poorly articulated and challenging to interpret, let alone answer. Time spent in comprehending and reviewing the question may allow reconciliation, revision and resolution. In the most difficult cases, it may be tempting to conclude a problem is unanswerable and walk away. However, it is often possible to break down a question to allow some progress to be made, perhaps by suggesting and adopting alternative strategies. Given that some questions require inordinate time or skill to tackle, it is important to keep a sense of the resources available in developing a response.
