Acknowledging the responsibilities that children and young people exercise in everyday life is seen as a necessary step for children to be recognized as citizens. Responsibility as a privilege- life world experiences decision making and increasing independence. Responsibility as a burden- systems obligations adults" responsibility to care for children i am going to be a child as long as i can. Being responsible of becoming responsible doing things responsibly and doing responsible things. A difference centred perspective- children as "differently equal" At a more csi level we could call these capabilities. "we wanted to understand more about the day to day lives of these young children rather than assessing long term adjustments or outcomes" (present rather than future focus and also children rather than adult perspective) Explore young people"s agency within their families (status rather than individual focus as well as participation focus rather than protection and care)
