We mark the beginning of late imperial period with his rule, because of the distinctive changes he made in the position of emperor and how he tried to transform the roman empire. He had a profound influence on the roman empire and history in general. During his rule, he regained almost all of the roman empire and rome wasn(cid:495)t attacked for the next 50 years. Similar to the adoptive emperors (not choosing your own blood) State run businesses: the drawback of this is the ruling class is invested in making sure everyone buys into the new regime and presentation. Always on the lookout, if someone doesn(cid:495)t bow, this becomes a threat. They ask for so much respect it compels disrespect believed in the gods and that the emperor was a god.
