Roman republic new period of government kicked out kings and city is run by the people. Sounds like democracy killing of the last tyrant (508bc) happening at the same time* Roman empire turns into another way of government (imperial rule- rule by an emperor) more like a king. Mythohistorical some historical truth within the myths. Cant forget the importance of these stories to the people telling them at the time.
