We prefer reality to the thing we are dreaming. 291 : talking about a kind of heaven, wants the history of his life to have some sort of assessment an individual history, he wants it historicized. Desire shaped by a lack we feel which drives us forward. There is a limit to our desire such as the law. He is dead, but still alive zone between 2 deaths: he is dead yet he persists in the heavenly form. Trying to produce a lack that does not exist. His life in between the two zones gets increasingly worse. We expect the other to be some sort of impediment to our desire. What"s hideous about this dreamers existence is that his desire is always granted. In my dreams i am a customer, and the customer is always right. The other get in the way of our desires to keeps us alive. Desire, like love, puts a demand on us.
