Important in social rule affirmation especially in 60, 70, 80, horror films were favourite choice for couples. Catharsis and repression: by watching horrifying fantasies, i reduce the danger of acting out violently in real life; my pleasures come from the sense of release that accompanies watching these fantasies. Relief (related to catharsis): it"s happening to someone else while i am safe and warm.
