Biotic- living = organisms their food and interactions. Abiotic- not living = sunlight soil air water climate and pollution. Biotic and abiotic factors influence survival and development. Complexity has led to environmental issues; we don"t understand how things we do will affect us down the stream. The study of the interactions of organisms and their environment. Very hard to agree that there are agreements ( yes there is global warming, no there is not etc. ) and who is responsible. Hegemonic power- others forced to comply with a higher powers opinion (political group in power) Influenced by cultural practices, traditions, values and eductaion. Paradigm: pattern or model or concept of how something is viewed.
