Run lola run: an analysis of disorder turned determination. In the film run lola run, during the scene at the very beginning of a young girl"s hectic day, is a phone call that throws the film into a downward spiral of chaos. In this still of lola, red telephone in hand, we get our first sense of what her character"s like, and how the set contributes to the overall mise-en-scene of the film. In the room she stands in, we see clutter, miss-matched colours, and an overall look of disorganization (tkywer). Throughout the entire film there is a sense of intensity and suspense. Lola"s character stimulates certain urgency by her appearance and personality, resulting in undivided attention of the audience. Despite all the chaos, lola"s determination never falters; in the end it"s what brings her to the finish line. Lola"s character appears to be irresponsible as her lifestyle reflects carelessness towards the smaller things in life.
