In many cases, these types of injuries are a result of overuse or accurate trauma of a part of the body when participating in a certain activity. Types of athletic injuries about 95% of sport injuries are minor soft tissue traumas. A contusion is the most common type of athletic injury. It is caused when blood collects at the site of an injury and discolours the skin. causes: Caused by internal bleeding into the interstitial tissues, usually initiated by blunt trauma. The trauma was sufficient to cause bruising can occur from a wide variety of situations including accidents, falls, and surgeries. Symptoms: a certain level of pain and dis-colouring (blue and purple) Sometimes bruises can be serious, leading to other more life-threatening forms of hematoma, such as when associated with serious injuries, including fractures and more severe internal bleeding.
