Before columbus, couldn"t make hotdogs or burgers because there was no pigs or cows or meat to be able to make them: pasta sauce tomatoes was very rare to find. Prior to 1842 the american side and asian side were separated. After, the old and new world began to mix. On their second voyage, they packed with them animals such as pigs, cows, sheep, and rats. There was enough cattle and livestock brought from europe to the americas. A lot of the new world foods turned out to be better, nutritious and better to grow than. January 20th, 2016: not initially embraced by europeans. Corn doesn"t have any gluten in it: cultural context to food. Spanish believed that food created a sense of difference. Thought that spanish bodies differed from other people"s bodies mainly because of the different diets.
