Very feared and respected: biggest and most powerful, organized and equipped army in europe, should have been an easy take over. England didn"t have a lot of land defenses: english navy attacked the spain fleet again and again, forcing spain to go around scotland and ireland to return to spain. Spain lost 15 000 troops, and half the ships sunk. England and france at war for 9 years: decided to truce. Napoleon (who is on his way to becoming a new emperor) says that peace is just a pause, he needs to crush england.
