Alcohol kills thousands of students every year, and the epidemic continues to have increasing effects. The combination of alcohol, new freedom and post-adolescent hormones is a volatile combination. Drinking goes hand in hand w/ certain types of university culture (i. e. sports, fraternities, sororities) The line b/w what is safe and dangerous in regards to drinking is often blurred. There is often an incentive for young women in college to drink a lot (i. e. beating out a guy in a drinking competition) Females at colorado state often drink until they puke and pass out (i. e. flavoured vodka for the taste, and the idea that you won"t gain weight as opposed to beer) This annual game occurs b/w two universities, while the use of kegs are a part of the tradition. Sam and her friend travelled from party to party and continued to drink (i. e. beer, tequila)
