What is Sexuality?
• Sexuality is a dimension of personality shaped by biological, psychosocial, and cultural forces
and concerning all aspects of sexual behaviour

Sexual Dysfunction
• Disturbances in sexual desire, performance, or satisfaction are referred to as sexual dysfunctions
• Males: Erectile or ejaculation problems, performance anxiety
• Females: lack of desire to have sex, the failure to become physically aroused, the failure to have
an orgasm, or pain during sexual contact
• Rule out that there’s not any other medical condition. Eg undiagnosed diabetes
• Or hormonal disturbance in women
Consent
• Ask first- don’t assume
• Verbal and non-verbal agreement – BEFORE
• Specific to the activity- not a blanket permission
• Know whether consent is valid or compromised
• Valid consent = Body autonomy + Free voluntary choice
