Models & theories enable program planners to give structure& organization & understanding to the programs purpose. Models in hp: provide a vehicle for applying theories- framework/map. How models & theories work together for successful hp programs: E. g. students & readings; dog & jumping through hoop. Models then give steps to actually initiate change. A model not grounded in theory is generally unsuccessful. Pair new stimulus with natural stimulus to produce natural response.
