Dates and statistics a few dates you need to know like 1984* Geographic and sociodemographic contexts policies are made because they may impact a lot of people in a densely populated area or may target rural areas. Different governments (night watchmen vs welfare state) make decisions based on how conservative they think spending should be. Political whichever party is in power is going to impact how decisions are made, in canada we have 5 parties. These three contexts may impact a policy that"s made. Night watchman vs welfare state, most canadian parties are in the center but more leaning toward one side or another. How politics are set up which is provincial, which is federal. Minister is elected then chosen, the deputy ministers are civil servants and are there for a long time.
