Sham group is provide rtms to the top pole of the head which splits at the midline and is considered the control condition. One group received 5 hz stimulation to the left hemisphere. The other group received 1hz stimulation to the left hemisphere. Hertz are denoting how frequently something is happening (1hz is one every second)(5hz is 5 stimuli over one second). The stimulation of the hz was over the patients head before the task. Over 7 continuous days they received the manipulation of 1 hz or 5hz, received stimulation for 20 minutes. Measured the participants 2 days, 5 days, then months after.
