Eg. pre-post intervention testing: does not adjust the p-value for multiple comparisons. Increases error in the results: only appropriate to use/report if analysis is limited to a single comparison between 2 groups. Cannot do repeated t-tests for every comparison, if you have multiple comparisons you need to use another one. Wilcox rank sums: sum of ranks in one group > sum of ranks in the other group.
