Drag force: the projectile related to the speed squared. Most activities we do are surrounded by air those activities that aren(cid:859)t done in the air are done in the water both air and water are fluids. Whenever we move through a fluid, the fluid applies a drag force that slows our motion down. Drag force direciton: since the direction of the velocity of the object changes with its parabolic path, then the drag force direction also changes during the flight. Viscous or skin drag: drag force from 2 sources 1. Profile drag skin drag arises from the friction between the surface of the object and the fluid as it passes over it. Angle of attack: profile drag also depends on angle that object approaches fluid flow this angle is called the angle of attack the larger the angle, the larger the profile drag.
