If you have questions about the paper, do the following: Check the rubric, the slides and the assignment outline. Open with a clear and concise statement explaining the main subject, the purpose of the research and why it"s important. Clearly describe what was learned; the main results. General and well worded opening sentence providing an introduction to the topic you are exploring. Purpose: to give a background of the topics/ research already conducted (i. e. describe what is already known) Subtopics should be explained clearly and in appropriate depth. Pretend that you are writing this paper for someone who has never heard of this topic. Terms and concepts need to be defined accurately. 4) to paint a clear picture of the topic from a few perspectives. The lit review tells us what is known, the qualifier tells us what knowledge is missing and why this research will give us that missing information.
