History: aids first documented cases (early 80s, in america: metropolitan area, new york city, los angeles, new disease targeting a new type of population. Individuals in late 20s and early 30s got sent to er with lesions that never seen before: men with a new form of cancer . Kaposi sarcoma viral infection: lung infection. Bacterial, fungal and viral infections: no immune system, everyone died which was alarming to the general public no one knew what was happening. Hiv and aids: the numbers: every 16 second another person dies from aids, every 12 second another person contracts hiv, 39 million people are living with aids, 30 million people have died from aids. Aids is ravaging populations more effectively than war. 70 million people today that have or will succumb to this virus.
