Subsequent exposure, have better immune response = adaptive. Rmr newborns still need to develop adaptive immune system. Thus vaccines important via exposure helps to develop. Identical = means certain flu eg: h1n1 not just any type of flu. They remember the pathogen and mount a faster more efficient response w/ innate immunity, mount response in infected tissue w/ adaptive immunity, meet and respond to pathogens in secondary lymphoid tissues. Blue area = t cells location = some mediated immunity is initiated. Yellow area = b cells location = humoral adaptive immunity is developing here. Each person has a different number of lymph nodes. Plasma from blood filters out into tissues = interstitial fluid. If circulates thru tissues to flow into lymphatic vessel = now called lymph. When if is in tissues, it picks up waste products and pathogens from tissues. This is where any b and t cells meet the pathogens (in the lymph)
