Criteria for evaluating selection methods: reliability, validity, ability to generalise, practical value. Reliability consistency of the results we measure, reliable over time. Validity is the measure related to what the measure what you are trying to assess. The length of your toenails does not determine your intelligence: construct validity a construct is something theoretical and abstract in nature (what is intelligence/leadership). People tested should feel motivated to do it, and stuff covered to on the test should be relevant.
