When you die you cold give someone else the rights to land. Real property = land and all rights attached to it. In ontario the crown owns all the land. We have a limited title - crown can decide they need the land and buy it off you. Land includes everything xed in it (houses) and xtures (chattels (= moveable property)) that are more or less permanent. Estate in land = speci c rights attached to land. To transfer land it has to be done in writing (bc of statue of frauds) - document of transferring land is a deed. By a deed or a will the land can be transferred (can be subject to a life estate to someone else)
