Summarize review, what that critic thought, how well the critic did in getting across their writing, any bias, what"s valuable about the way they write and how it will influence my work. First person is okay, but not everything starts with "i" Using quotes from review is good, no need to footnote. Make sure it"s a musical, and fair in your critique. Can compare with others, but not too much if they"re not at the same production level. Look at 3-4 elements and go into detail. Generally using music and song to depict emotion. Burst into song when words are not enough for the emotion, because music heightens emotion and creates importance. In the 40s and 50s, musical pieces were played on the radio.
