A principle that you use to guide you. Something that you normally hold on to for a lot longer, a value is made up of a combination of beliefs. It might be ideas, customs, standards, and influence behavior. Might change depending on the situation, they can be transient, they change when you have more information. A belief is an opinion or (cid:272)o(cid:374)(cid:448)i(cid:374)(cid:272)tio(cid:374), a(cid:374)d it is you(cid:396) t(cid:396)uth, (cid:271)ut you do(cid:374)"t (cid:374)e(cid:272)essa(cid:396)ily ha(cid:448)e lots of knowledge in it. Values and beliefs reflect who we are in regards to our culturally background, our relationships, our social networks. We might have different values depending on our different groups. Values can evolve over time, and are significant in the decisions that we make. Our values and beliefs tend to bias us when we are not aware of them. Values that are related to one another form a value system. For example, religious and cultural values can shape health values.
